I am a ceramic artist whose journey began in music, crafting emotional narratives through sound before transitioning to clay in 2021. Inspired by the transformative power of desert landscapes and the symbolism of the snake, my hand-built work explores themes of growth, renewal, and the cycles of life. Each piece reflects my evolution as an artist and woman, shaped by the contrast of mountain isolation and desert vitality.
The Process
The Process
Each of my pieces are raku-fired, a process where the sculpture is removed from the kiln while still glowing hot (1750°F) and exposed to rapid cooling and natural elements like smoke and fire. This unpredictable technique creates unique textures, crackles, and color variations, making every piece one-of-a-kind. The spontaneity and raw beauty of raku reflect the dynamic energy behind my work.
