“Meet the Artist” event 12/11/24
It all begins with an idea.
In my opinion, the scariest part of being an artist is sharing it with strangers. I have so many friends who support me and tell me how much they love what I’m doing. For this I am grateful. They are the ones who nudge me along, share ideas and honest feedback.
Ironically though, one of the most rewarding parts of being an artist is sharing it with strangers. I had the honor of attending a “meet the artist” event at TownHouse in Cherry Creek North, Denver this past week. I hadn’t experienced the joy of indulging myself in the company of strangers who are interested in what I “do” for a very, very long time. I very much enjoyed the Q&A portion shared with fellow artist Michael Dowling. I am forever intrigued by the minds and processes of other artists of any medium.
Here are a few snippets of this wonderful event. Thank you to all who came to support what we do. Most of our life is spent in a room alone with our thoughts and current body of work. We like it this way but it’s always good to get out into the world and let our work shine from time to time.
